Although shopping isn’t one of the recommended experiences in Santorini, sunglasses and optical stores are numerous, all of them in Thira and Oia. Some of these are even chain stores; this is our fine selection. As for the stores’ guide, we delivered for Mykonos, we point out this is a list updated to 2022 summer and can change in the future.

Anastasiadis Santorini

Anastasiadis optical stores are a solid guarantee for those who need prescription glasses. The founder, Michalis Anastasiadis, has more than 30 years of experience in this field. Your eyes are safe with his expert team! Two of the more than 20 stores the group owns around Greece are in Santorini: one in Thira, on Gold Street, and a second in Oia, next to Marykay bar in the village center. 

Both the shops have a precious selection of Chopard sunglasses, definitely the strong point of Anastasiadis. 

Other brand we can mention are: Diesel, Ermenegildo Zegna, Ferré, Escada, Funky Buddha, Furla, Myth Greece, Police, Porsche Design, Silhouette, Swarovski, Tom Ford, Trussardi, Victoria Beckham and Vuarnet.

Panaidis 

Like Anastasiadis, Panaidis is a group with multiple stores in Greece. The selected locations are Athens, Paros, Rhodes, Mykonos, Crete, and Santorini. 

The layout is finely refined, along with the sunglasses display, with retrò decoration and gold plated tubes creating a web to support the sunglasses. 

Panaidis stores in Santorini are both in Thira and Oia. Personnel is well-formed to present the generous plethora of brands. 

The selection comprehends: Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Boucheron, Bottega Veneta, Cartier, Celine, Chanel, Chopard, Chrome Hearts, Dior, Dita, Fendi, Gentle Monster, Givenchy, Gucci, Linda Farrow, L. G. R., Loewe, Mykita, Oliver People (disponibile anche presso Andronis) , Rayban, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Valentino.

Kopajos 

If you are looking for something original, unique and colorful, Kopajos gets everything in its sunglasses. The Mykonos-based brand was born many years ago, but its awareness has grown recently, letting new openings in Santorini. 

The first store opened in 2019, in Oia, on the main walk of the village, with a beautiful caldera view on the side. Since 2022 Kopajos has been in Thira, too, close to the vibrant crossroad of Gold Street.

There are no mainstream brands easily available on other boutiques’ crowded shelves. Kopajos’ goal, in fact, is to find the right sunglasses for every face. 

Oia Sunglasses Santorini

Oia Sunglasses is a small reselling on the main street of Oia, not so far from the Blue Domes Church. Despite the high number of available brands, the selection for each one of these is limited. 

If you’re looking for some exclusive product, it could be nice to give it a visit. 

These are the available brands: Boss, Burberry, Carrera, Celine, Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, INVU, Jimmy Choo, Maui Jim, Mark Jacobs, Michael Kors, Miu Miu, Pepe Jeans, Persol, Polo Ralph Lauren, Prada, Ray Ban, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

Espectro Opticians 

Espectro Opticians was established in 2016 in the main square of Thira, among some fast food places. Founder and optometrist Zisis Thanos offers clients his expertise. He has a deep knowledge of contact lenses, and a refine taste for the skeletons selection, both optical and sunnies. 

Look at the careful selection of the brands. There are both well-known brands and something more unique.

Eyeroom Fira Santorini

There is a small shop of glasses close to the bus station in Thira, on the way to the main square. Even if it’s not that famous, Eyeroom Santorini has some surprises and uniqueness. The selection is limited but with a lovely impact.

Brands there are relevant: Ana Hickmann, Boss, Celine, Dior, Fendi, Gamine Nyc, Gigi studios, Loewe, Marc Jacobs, Mykita, Max Mara, Porter & Reynard, Ray Ban and Stella McCartney.

Optometric service is available, along with contact lenses and prescription glasses.
